Nature's Inspiration Movie

However, this video is much more than beautiful photographs! Peggy Anderson has compiled beautiful quotations from the likes of Emerson, Thoreau, and many others that truly capture the beauty of nature and solitude. Absolute must watch for nature lovers.

My Prayer and Thoughts...

I dedicate this post to all the children that lost their lives today in Newport, Connecticut, due to some mindless, deranged killer. I have chosen this flower picture to represent them - the children were yet to blossom just like the tulips in the picture. I can feel the pain of their parents and how devastated they must all be feeling now because I also lost my mother tragically this year in August. My mother was perfectly fit and healthy with all sorts of dreams and aspirations even at the age of 67. She went for a simple knee operation in one of the most reputed hospital, located near E.M. Bypass, in Calcutta. But, due to all the doctors' negligence, ignorance, callous, and indifferent attitude there, she lost her life after enduring unbearable pain and suffering. That is why I have been away from this blogging world. But, today's tragedy surpasses all other tragedies and pains - little kids who went to that school today, families and parents who dropped them,  all must have had many plans and ideas about the upcoming afternoon, weekend and Christmas; now all those ideas have vaporized instantly in thin air, replaced by what we all can never apprehend unless we have been in their shoes. So, all my thoughts and prayer for them.....

  1. I am so sorry you had to go through that. My parents are gone, too, so I know how it feels. It will get better with time.

    1. Hi Casa,
Thank You for your support. I could not imagine days without my parents. But, now I have started imagining such days and preparing myself. It must be tough for you as I think no one appreciates our achievements, beside our spouses, like our parents do.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss, especially since it was so unexpected and preventable. I lost my adult son in a car accident three years ago in December, and the Connecticut shootings have made all those feelings raw again. I think we can all sympathize for the families of those small children. It's senseless and such a sad occurrence. Unfortunately, I have found no answers for any of us that grieve.

    1. Dear HolleyGarden,
Oh I am so sorry. If I were near you, I was going to give you a big hug :-(. I can accept passing of our parents because they would pass away before us. But, I can't imagine passing of children. I wish you all the strength,

  3. Beautiful image and thought. As a father I had two sessions of weeping for them after thinking of my two boys at that age.

So sorry to here about your mother. Experience has taught me if you fill your life with hate for those responsible, you loose a lot of who you are and your mom would not want that.

    1. Hi Aussiebybirth,
Thank You for your nice comments. I couldn't find your blog. Why don't you start one, if you don't have one? It would be interesting to read about Australia.
