It snowed on Saturday, December 9, and it was the first snow of the season. It came heavy, and snowed from around ten-thirty in the morning till about eleven in the night. Nothing is so pretty as the landscape covered by snow; nothing is as quite as a still winter morning; nothing is as enjoyable as seeing the snow fall, sitting with a hot drink and reflecting.
I am linking with St. Germain's All Season meme.

Backyard -- trees huddling together for warmth :-)? |
Rhododendron ice-cream cone, anyone? |

The stillness and peacefulness of the first snow are beautifully captured here KL -- lovely photos. (I do have to admit that I would rather admire snow in your photos than deal with it in person however).
ReplyDeleteIt's a long time ago that I just looked the whole day at snow falling (in the southern Calif. mountains - when I was in grad school, we tried to get there during winter break)! Several blogs show that it also snowed in N. And W Europe at the same time. Nature is so beautiful! Smiled at your trees huddle - I picture trees (in my mind) as watchers. What would they have to say if they could talk? Many thanks for linking up to All Seasons! Have a great week- hope you don't have to work, going through the snow ...
ReplyDeleteSilent day and silent night ... so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Snow makes all so silent and tender...
ReplyDeleteWe had it on sunday, but it's just gone.
The gate in my post is at our Christmas market, there is a big gate for adults and this small for children. But the adults are going through the small too.
Greetings from Germany
Your garden looks wonderful in its winter dress! Who needs Christmas ornaments when your evergreens are dusted with snow?!
ReplyDeleteA wintry scene like our yard. I am sorry about your student having gotten a cancer diagnosis. I hope it is treatable..... I hope you and your family have a lovely holiday season... Michelle
ReplyDeleteHello, your snowy yard look pretty. Our snow has all melted now, I am wondering if we will have a white Christmas. I love the snow covered pine trees and rhododendrons.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your visit and comment.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Have a happy day and week ahead.
